Bios Urn is much more than just an urn — it's a catalyst for life. Bios Urn is made from coconut shell, with compressed peat and cellulose — all 100% biodegradable materials.
Inside the Bios Urn is a seed capsule suitable for seeds of any tree or plant. The seed capsule guarantees proper growth of the tree or plant together with the remains of your loved one. Once the urn is planted, the seed draws nourishment both from the surrounding soil and from the cremated remains.
Bios Urn can also be ordered without a seed — you can add your own chosen seed or sapling instead.

Bios Urn was created by a design studio based in Barcelona. The project draws on more than 15 years of experience in natural research.
Bios Urn is made using a special molding process, produced without any glue or chemical additives. The decomposition of the Bios Urn is respectful of the environment, as it consists solely of organic components.
The prepared soil mix allows for perfect water flow while the expansion disc swells, so that the soil mix can be optimally blended with the cremated remains.
